The Flybrain project was initiated at an informal workshop in Gottingen at the end of March 1995. The overall aim of this project is to develop a combined atlas and database of the Drosophila melanogaster nervous system. This would catalogue, summarise, and provide tutorials to neurological data, and provide references to other related databases.
