Health statistics and H Guide - Resources and Review

Began in 1991 as a series of annual surveys commissioned by the Department of Health. Based on a nationally representative sample of the adult population (aged 16 and over) living in private households in England and designed to provide baseline data from which to monitor health trends and in particular, to assess progress towards some of the specific health targets, which include those relating to cardiovascular disease, blood pressure and obesity. Requires registration.
